Yvonne Lumley — Career Transition
Yvonne´s background is in business development, management consultancy and human resources, gained with a number of leading organisations including NCR, Astra Zeneca, Fujitsu Services, and a major HR consultancy where she was Managing Consultant in Yorkshire and the North East.
Having run her own successful HR consultancy, she advises many organisations, both public and private, on how to develop and support their people, particularly during times of change.
Yvonne is married with two teenage sons and lives in Harrogate. Although not Yorkshire born and bred, she has put down firm roots in the county and can´t imagine living anywhere else. In her spare time she enjoys music and one day plans to rekindle her love of playing the piano.
Yvonne´s recent assignments include:
- Career coaching for the executive team of a primary care trust undergoing structural change.
- Coaching support for the top 50 managers from a national energy company in preparation for a due diligence exercise by potential bidders.
- Project Management of an on-site resource centre for an international chemical company during a plant closure.
- Assisting a Commercial Director from a medium-sized Pharma business achieve a new position as Global Head of Purchasing for a large Pharma company.
- Helping an Finance Director to establish a portfolio career including a non-executive directorship.
