Neil McLaughlin
Neil began his working life as a graduate trainee with Pirelli, and quickly identified HR as the area where he wanted to develop his future career. He broadened his manufacturing industry experience within Philips and then joined the Yorkshire-based business of Wm Jackson & Son before then spending ten years with Northern Foods in a variety of senior operating company and HQ roles.
Having gained considerable satisfaction as a recruiter throughout his industrial career, Neil switched to the other side of the recruitment industry in 1988. He has since been Yorkshire Regional Director for a major national recruitment agency, a partner in the Leeds offices of another, and is currently Managing Partner of BK Cornerstone - a move he describes as the best of his entire career.
Neil's principal recruitment activity is focused on appointments at Board and senior executive level - across all functions and industries, and including public sector and not-for-profit organisations. He has also continued to practise as an executive and performance coach.
Though a Scot by birth, Neil has come to love Yorkshire and both he and his wife can't imagine living anywhere else. Despite that, he still likes to travel to Murrayfield for Scotland's international matches.
